John Crumpton's encounter with God and call to become ‘a pastor to pastors’, happened in the late seventies whilst he was a youngster. A few years later, while seeking the Lord about what His plans were for his life, two themes stood out strongly. One of them was worship.
After school John studied a B.Com, worked in the IT sector both locally and internationally, studied theology and served in the local church in East London. During his time abroad, John served as the worship leader in Atlanta, Georgia, growing in and continuing to fulfill the word he had received from the Lord all those years ago. Being the son of Derek Crumpton, John had grown up ‘in ministry’ but he and his wife Lisa, a prophetic artist, moved to Johannesburg to lead Breakthru Life Church in 2002.
The rest is history: a thriving local congregation along with John’s heart to love and serve God and the body of Christ with cutting edge international ministries (i.e. Let Us Worship South Africa with Sean Feucht, Kingdom Come SA Conferences with Bill Johnson).

Grant and Bernice are part of the greater Breakthru Worship Family. They've been involved in music and worship from when they were children. They have a heart to see worship in every generation and nation, and to see worshippers equipped and anointed for such a time as this.

Langa is a singer-songwriter living in Johannesburg, South Africa. He is the founder of "We Will Worship Movement", an urban South African worship movement seeking to see people, across the continent of Africa, worship Jesus with everything they are, in everything they do. "We Will Worship" has released three records which have significantly influenced contemporary African worship culture, with their songs being sung in churches across Southern Africa. Langa is married to Unathi, and together they have three children, Kumi, Hubo and Ziziwe.

Gabriel has been working in the audio business for well over 18 years. While starting his career working as a freelance sound engineer in 2008, Gabriel launched his own company called Audiosense. His company primarily focuses on on-location recording for the DVD and Broadcast market. They also design and project manage shows for some of their clients, mostly in the Afrikaans & Black Gospel Market.
As Gabriel’s freelance career started gaining momentum, he starting moving into monitor engineering (IEM), and control system design for shows such as Afrikaans is Groot, Classics, FNB Starlight Pops & Innibos. He is now the managing director of Audiosaurus - suppliers for pro audio, podcasting, studio and acoustics solutions. He resides with his family in Sedgefield, Knysna.
GABRIEL LE ROUX
Moses Rahlogo is a Keys Player with a passion for electronic media in the Worship context. He has extensive knowledge in MainStage and digital music production and is always looking forward to sharing what he has learned with others. Moses is husband to Lerato, daddy to three beautiful girls and is the Youth Leader of Breakthru Life Church.
He fills an essential leadership role in the worship ministry and loves to witness people encounter the Father. His heart for God's Kingdom, excellence of spirit and love for people are only a few elements that make up this highly valued gift to the Body of Christ.
MOSES RAHLOGO
Johan Bester is the founder and director of KariSma Performing Arts, with the slogan “Your voice matters”. He is a vocal coach, vocal producer, choir director, composer, arranger and music educator from Johannesburg.
Having worked with voices for over 30 years and in four different countries, including living and working in Australia for 12 years, Johan has developed a powerful and unique way of bringing the best out of people.

PHILIP MALAN
Philip grew up in Stellenbosch in a musical family. He started playing guitar at age 9 and went on to complete his BMus degree in Music Education at Stellenbosch University in 2010.
He has released 2 solo guitar albums under his own name (‘Faithful’ - 2012, ‘Sailboats in the Sky’ - 2014), 2 albums with the band Tarabu (‘Journey to the unexpected’ – 2014, ‘Odyssey’ - 2019) and 1 album with the band The New Creation Co. (‘Be Exalted’ – 2019).
Philip lives in Durbanville with his wife Marsanne, also a musician, and their son, John. He currently works for Nuwe Lewe Tygerberg Church as their worship leader, and teaches guitar at schools in Durbanville and Stellenbosch.

For those in the know, Andries Visser is widely regarded as one of SA’s foremost authorities on drumset education. He has been an active musician for the past 38 years in which he has toured the USA, Europe, UK, China, Czech republic and Reunion Islands.
As a session drummer, Andries has ,to date, recorded over 300 albums with artists such as: Louis Britz, Riana Nel, Retief Burger, Khanyisa, Laurika Rough, Coleske, Antonio Orrico, Mervis, Freddie Wessels, Raymond Cilliers, Danny Anthil, Ron Belchur, Johan Stemmet, Stass, Bluehouse and many more.
Furthermore, Andries has mentored many promising young students through the Groove Regulators full time drumset program from 2003 – 2016 in Johannesburg & Jeffrey’s Bay.
ANDRIES VISSER
With over 23 yrs experience in live and studio performance, Alvin has travelled quite extensively and is comfortable with an array of music styles including rock, jazz, pop, hip hop, folk, gospel and more.
Some of the musicians he has worked with include Jimmy Dludlu, Louis Britz, Israel Houghton, Loyiso Bala, Locnville and more to name a few.
He has also been the bassist for the last three seasons of South African Idol.
ALVIN HENDRICKS
Husband, father, and captain of the broadcast and streaming ship at Breakthru, Darryl has been part of the church staff for over 13 years! Darryl directed and produced a feature length documentary film, Extra Ordinary The Film, which combined his heart for the Gospel, desire to see people encounter Jesus and love for all things media and production.
Darryl loves seeing people come alive as they grow in their skills and passions. He brings an educated, creative, and kingdom-minded perspective to media and streaming in the church. His heart is for excellence in the Kingdom.
DARRYL REID
Minette has been part of Breakthru Life Church for over 20 years and has been on staff as Head of Media since 2016. Minette, having a background in design, has valuable understanding, experience and an anointing for design, marketing & social media.
She enjoys finding creative ways to capture what God is doing at Breakthru Life Church and broadcasting it to the world! Her passion is to see people encounter Jesus through facilitating media and production in church and worship.
MINETTE KEEVE
Imaginator, Dream Activator, Kingdom Creative.
In 1995 she received her honors degree in Drama from the University of Pretoria. The following year she started to lecture Creative Movement and Dance Drama, at the drama department of the University of the Orange Free State.
Additional Qualifications include: Reebok Aero-step Teachers Diploma, Fit for Praise diploma, RAD-Senior grade Ballet, IDTA Prelim Junior Modern dance and BSSM.
With over 25 years experience as Theatre Practitioner and Coach with Kreator Artz , she has a passion to inspire people to pursue excellence in life and she utilizes the performing arts as a creative powertool in advancing the Kingdom of God.
She's been happily married for 27years to Pieter Engelbrecht. They are the lead elders at Capital Park Christian Church in Pretoria and have 3 children, Marig (22), Sancia (20) and Jarik (18).
